    Descripción

    In this pivotal role, you will be the guardian of our standards, ensuring the safety, health, and hygiene of our resort environment for both guests and staff. You will work closely with the Quality Manager to drive compliance, lead sustainability initiatives, and maintain the operational excellence that defines our brand.

    Funciones

    • Internal Audits: Assist the Quality Manager in conducting internal system audits, creating action plans, and monitoring risks logged in the corporate register.
    • Daily Hygiene Oversight: Perform daily internal hygiene audits across all areas, including Restaurants, Bars, Kitchens, Warehouses, Staff Canteens, and Guest Rooms, proposing immediate corrective actions where necessary.
    • External Inspections: Actively participate in and manage external inspections with regulatory bodies such as MOH, NEPA, TPDCo, and HS Consulting.
    • Quality Testing: Monitor buffet line temperatures, oversee food sample collections and surface testing (Excelab), and conduct regular quality checks on pools and the sewage plant.
    • Supplier Compliance: Support the Purchasing department by conducting supplier inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards.

    Training, SOPs, and Operational Standards

    • Standard Development: Create and refresh hygiene procedures and SOPs to ensure alignment with current health guidelines.
    • Instruction & Training: Provide on-the-job training for staff, ensuring full understanding and implementation of "Clean as you Go" standards and the correct use of detergents/disinfectants.
    • Team Meetings: Conduct and facilitate regular internal and external Health & Safety meetings and training sessions.

    Emergency Preparedness and Risk Management

    • Fire Safety: Coordinate fire drills in collaboration with the Training Manager and the Fire Department; audit fire alarm panels, smoke detectors, extinguishers, fire suppression systems, and emergency lighting.
    • Crisis Management: Conduct food outbreak investigations when necessary and assist in updating medical reports provided by the nursing staff.
    • Maintenance Support: Perform random pool and pump room checks alongside the Pools Supervisor to ensure safe operations.

    Sustainability and Environmental Leadership

    • Stay Green Ambassadors: Create and lead the "Stay Green Ambassadors" team, coordinating environmental activities, campaigns, and sustainability initiatives.
    • Waste Management: Oversee the proper management of waste, ensuring no accumulation in F&B areas; coordinate with external suppliers for waste collection and reporting.
    • Platform Management: Control and update the Health & Safety action plan via the HS Consulting platform.

    Requisitos

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Food Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in a similar Health & Safety role within the hospitality industry.
    • Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO standards, and local regulatory requirements (MOH, NEPA, etc.).
    • Excellent audit, report writing, and administrative skills.
    • Strong leadership abilities with a proactive approach to safety and sustainability.
